ICM – Intentional Camera Movement

Intentional Camera Movement is a genre of photography that involves slowing the shutter and moving the camera during the exposure to create unique images with flowing lines and shapes.

Every ICM is unique – we can’t replicate out movements so whilst two ICM images may look similar, there is no chance of them being the same. As an ICM artist, I take many of my ICM images much further than a single flowing image and employ techniques to overlay images onto each other in post production with the result often looking like oil paintings from yesteryear. But, I guarantee that everything you see below is the result of me waggling my camera. You can see some of the process in my many ICM videos on YouTube.
